Some links in this post may earn me a small commission, at no extra cost to you. Think of it as a tiny thank-you for helping you avoid packing regret, bad shoes, and panic-shopping linen at the airport.

Tweens are tricky travel customers. Too old for babyish activities, not always old enough to fully self-manage, and very capable of letting you know when something is “not the vibe.”

This "Tween travel activity kit" edit is designed for the in-between years, when the best travel activities feel a little more grown-up, a little more independent, and a lot less like something you bought in the preschool aisle.

Think journals, puzzle books, card games, Kindle accessories, headphones, charging cords, small beauty or comfort items, travel games, and organized pouches that give them their own setup.

A good tween activity kit should feel like a personal carry-on upgrade, not a babysitting strategy. Which, of course, is exactly why it works.
